Include information about how to access the keys to safe deposit boxes, combinations to home safes and login information for secure websites. If you haven’t already invested in secure locations for key valuables, we recommend you consult your attorney and/or insurance agent about what is required or recommended based on state law and best practices. A home safe isn’t as secure as a safe deposit box; however, it may be good for replaceable items you need access to immediately, such as a passport or originals of your powers of attorney to authorize others to make decisions on your behalf.
